Okay, okay, let's not pretend I'm not typing this all out in third person. Welcome to The Strawberry Blondeshell! My name is Vera, pleasure to make your acquaintance. The first thing one should know about me is I'm a little old fashioned. I like old cars, old clothes, and old music. I do, in fact, dress up in retro dresses and high heels almost every time I go out, even if it's just to the grocery store. I enjoy being fancy.

I started The Strawberry Blondeshell because I not only enjoy blogging, but blogging about fun and non-mainstream things. Mainstream is boring. There are enough fashion blogs about modern clothes. We need more vintage blogs with beautiful pinup girls wearing beautiful dresses. I am a firm advocate of the belief that less is not more. I believe in modesty. I believe in the sexiness not of the best push-up bra you can find and as much skin as you can bare, but of a garter belt and stockings. Only hinting at what's underneath by the seam running up the back of a leg. I believe in putting effort into one's daily appearance, even if that means rolling up one's hair the night before in foam rollers or pin curls. As one of my idols once said,

Besides the obvious vintage things, I also enjoy writing, using fancy words (it's sort of a quirk of mine now), and taking pictures. There are too many careers in life I'd like to pursue, including private investigation, animation, photography (strictly of the boudoir kind), writing, lingerie and clothing design, and, occasionally, singing. As it's unlikely I'll be able to do more than one, my current career path is animation.
